Tomahawk’s dream run continues

The logs have indicated 153 feet of gross hydrocarbons over several intervals in the secondary objectives which include both gas and oil. The primary objective, the Caney Shale, intersected a gross thickness 120 feet with excellent gas shows, according to Tomahawk.

The Snell-Heirs 2-19 is the fourth well in succession where logging has confirmed hydrocarbons in multiple formations. A testing program is being devised to test several of the hydrocarbon-bearing formations.

In a recent renegotiation of the participation agreement in Okfuskee County, Tomahawk has considerably increased its working interest in future wells and been granted options over more than 5,000 acres of land with the potential to host more than 125 wells in the future.

“Tomahawk is delighted with its drilling success to date,” said chairman Tony Brennan.

“All four wells have discovered hydrocarbons in both the primary and secondary objectives. The results to date have demonstrated the prospectivity of the project area.”

Tomahawk is currently drilling its fifth exploration well and is also planning appraisal/development wells on the existing discoveries.
